2018 was the festival’s fourth year and may have been the best so far. Each year, more of country music’s royalty take the stage and bring thousands of fans out to party at the beach. This year the McDonald’s Thursday night kickoff party featured Cole Swindell and Tracy Lawrence with Dee Jay Silver, Jimmie Allen and Josh Phillips getting the party started. Quite a bonus night as the three day festival officially gets underway on Friday.

Beginning Friday at 1:00pm through Sunday at 11:30 pm, over 32,000 fans converged on the former pavilion site, enjoying the music, eating and drinking. With Friday night being the “U.S. of A Day,” the festival was covered in red, white and blue which was a perfect fit for the headliner that evening, Toby Keith. Fans also caught sets by Stephanie Quayle, Deanna Carter, Colt Ford, Craig Morgan and Brett Eldredge on the Coors Light Main Stage.

Prior to Keith taking the Coors Light Main Stage, there were plenty of other acts to enjoy around the festival. The Blue Moon Stage brought Kennedy Fitzsimmon, Barry Brown Band and several others, while over on the Coca Cola stage was Caleb Gilbert, DJ Dirty, Tim Montana and more. At the American Anthem Stage, Dylan Scott brought the crowd to its feet and kept them singing.

Saturday night was just as power packed with James Barker Band, Southern Rounds, Morgan Wallen, Lewis Brice, Jon Langston, Russell Dickerson, Chris Lane, Brett Young and Luke Bryan closing out the night. With over thirty musical acts it’s hard to get to those all mentioned. And if the music wasn’t enough, Saturday also brought one marriage proposal and one wedding to the stage.

Fans continued the party on Sunday with Kasey Tyndall, Davisson Brothers, Muscadine Bloodline, and Devin Dawson just to mention a few of the awesome artists rocking the Blue Moon Stage, Coca Cola Stage and the American Anthem Stage. The Coors Light Main Stage closed out the festival with Runaway June, Michael Ray, Kane Brown, Old Dominion and Zac Brown Band.

This year’s event was certainly a stellar performance by not just the artists but also the City of Myrtle Beach as they kept the fans safe and provided assistance when needed. According to the city there were fewer incidents this year than in years, past making it an easy decision to have the festival again in 2019.

So if you have not been to the Carolina Country Music Festival in Myrtle Beach before, you can start planning to go next year. Next year’s festival will be June 6-9 and early bird tickets, with discounts, are already on-sale. No matter where you end up, whether it’s General Admission, VIP or Super VIP you’re sure to have the time of your life.
