At only 18 years old, Jack Robert and Avery Grace – also known as Blank Page – have begun to make their mark in the country music industry. With a passion for music, performing, and each other, this talented duo caught the ear of 2-time GRAMMY nominated The War and Treaty, who invited the teenagers to sing with them at their sold-out show in D.C. Last month they released their debut EP Because of You and today they are releasing their new single “Family Tree” in celebration of their high school graduation.
Jack and Avery wrote “Family Tree” during their time at the Advanced Songwriting Camp at the Country Music Hall of Fame. The pair performed their song at the historic Ford Theatre accompanied on steel guitar by the program’s director Adam Ollendorff, who has performed with country mega stars Kacey Musgraves and Carrie Underwood. Ollendorff is also featured on the recording of “Family Tree” where he added dobro and steel guitar, giving even more traditional sound and depth to the track.
With their high school years behind them, Jack and Avery are set to move to Music City to pursue their musical dreams. “Family Tree” is a message of love to their family and friends that while they may be leaving, their roots are planted solid in the ground at home. The decision to release the single to celebrate the end of chapter and the start of another is beautifully apropos.
