Nashville, Tenn. – With a voice beyond her years, 12-year-old country music sensation Tegan Marie sent the U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team off to the 2016 Olympic Games with a momentous performance of the national anthem in Kansas City, KS, Friday (7/22). As RARE Country hailed, “The little girl with the larger-than-life voice delivered a stunning performance of ‘The Star-Spangled Banner’… The national anthem is considered by many singers to be one of the hardest songs to perform, but it was a piece of cake for Tegan.” Taking the music world by storm, earlier this year Tegan Marie released “Lucky Me” with proceeds benefiting the kids in her hometown of Flint, MI, who were affected by the water crisis. Her soul-stirring rendition of Florida Georgia Line’s #1 hit single, “H.O.L.Y.,” racked up 14.8 million Facebook views to date, made the band take notice and scored her an US Weekly stamp of approval in their “Buzzzz-o-Meter.” The young sensation is at it again, with her cover of Luke Bryan’s “Huntin’, Fishin’ and Lovin’ Every Day” nearing five million Facebook views. Her performance of the national anthem on ESPN Friday further proved her undeniable talent and her ability to sing live on a national stage.

On August 27, the superstar-in-the-making will perform at the 2016 Arthur Ashe Kids’ Day on August 27 in Flushing Meadows, NY.  The annual single-day grassroots tennis and entertainment event is the largest in the world, and takes place the Saturday before the U.S. Open. Not only do the biggest names in the tennis world get involved in the iconic day honoring tennis legend and humanitarian Arthur Ashe, but some of music’s hottest acts once appeared on their way to superstardom, including Britney Spears, Backstreet Boys and Justin Bieber.
