Nash-FM’s Kelly Ford Brings Women of Country Together in Support
Nashville, Tenn.) On Saturday (10/28) at the historic Factory at Franklin, the third annual Agape Animal Ball raised over $60,000 for Agape Animal Rescue while bringing Middle Tennessee a night of elegance, mystery and the opportunity to save lives. The event’s host, NashFM’s Kelly Ford, national radio personality of Ty, Kelly, & Chuck, brought together numerous females from the country music community, including country star and Pickler & Ben co-host, Kellie Pickler and American Young’s Kristy Osmunson, to contribute to the night’s success.
“Guests enjoyed the beautiful details and one heck of a party at Agape Animal Ball, but at the end of the night the money raised helps hundreds of homeless dogs find happiness and stability,” said Ford. “I’m honored to have played a role in that success for two years in a row. Agape is doing incredible work for our city and I hope Nashville will continue to support their mission.”
“Agape Animal Ball is such an important night for us, and I’m continuously humbled to see our community of sponsors, volunteers, rescue advocates and guests step up to help our dogs,” added Tanya Willis, Founder and Executive Director of Agape Animal Rescue. “More than 1,300 dogs and families have had their lives positively changed because of our annual event, and we are eternally grateful.”
The formal masquerade is held annually in support of the Agape’s rescue and foster canines. This year’s fanciful night featured dinner by Hadley’s Catering with drinks provided by presenting sponsor Tito’s Handmade Vodka as well as local Yazoo Brewery. The event’s festivities included live music from the highly-acclaimed 12 South Band, complete with dancing, acrobatic/cirque entertainment, animal-themed carnival games, as well as live and silent auctions. Attendees also had the opportunity to meet (and fall in love with) some of Agape’s most fashionable adoptees presented on stage by Kellie Pickler and wife of Curb Record’s Jerrod Niemann, Morgan Niemann.
Agape Animal Rescue, a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization founded in 2004, is dedicated to finding forever homes for abandoned and displaced dogs while educating the public to become more responsible pet owners. The Agape Animal Ball was introduced as a dream benefit idea by a longtime Agape volunteer in 2013. The event came into fruition that year and returned in 2016 where it developed into the organization’s most supportive fundraiser in Agape’s thirteen-year history. Now with the support of corporate and local sponsorships, the Agape Animal Ball remains crucial as it typically raises enough funds for numerous months of animal healthcare and nutrition.
