Hundreds of country music fans gathered at the Nashville Palace Saturday night to raise over 4-thousand dollars.
That donation will be paired with monies raised at this year’s Buck Creek Trailride in Alamo, Tennessee this fall. Last year, the tally neared 100-thousand.
Performers Joe Stampley, Bailie and the Boys, Riders In The Sky, Rex Allen Jr., Sarah Darling, Bobby Tomberlin, Cherish Lee, Music City Strings, Tara Shannon, Amber Fiez, David. Frizzell and Johnny Rodriguez entertained with host, singer/songwriter Bobby Marquez.
The auction included one-of-a-kind Opry memorabilia, family zoo memberships, an acoustic autographed guitar and an original guitar art piece paired with other surprises.
This year’s event was broadcast live on Donald Caldwell’s Keeping It Country Show at OMCRN.com. Television and documentary crews also be filmed for the new Rex Allen Jr. documentary.
