Nashville, Tenn. – David and Allen Frizzell release a new, poignant version of “Always Late With Your Kisses” today, which features their vocals alongside a vintage recording of their brother Lefty singing his lyrics to one of country music’s most enduring songs. The track will be released to all major streaming services via StarVista Music and is the latest single from David’s forthcoming album, “David Frizzell presents Frizzell & Friends: A Tribute to Brother Lefty Frizzell,” arriving September 26. Written by Lefty, who took it all the way to #1 in 1951, the song became a favorite among country music singers in the years that followed. George Jones, Merle Haggard, Willie Nelson and more have covered it, but none of the versions have been as moving as this one. “Allen and I found a way for the three of us to come together in a song,” says David. “We put Lefty’s vocals first. He starts, then me, then Allen. It’s such a beautiful thing for us to hear the three brothers like that and we hope everyone out there will like it too.” Allen adds, “This tribute to Lefty of his songs is a heartfelt echo of a voice that shaped country music, blending emotional depth with smooth phrasing that influenced generations of artists. I am honored to be part of this album. He was such a musical influence to me.”
