Nashville, Tenn. — How did country star Aaron Tippin spend his 60th birthday? Making wine, of course. Last Tuesday, July 3, the 90s country hitmaker entered his 6th decade of life. Tippin spent his big day at Crossville, Tennessee-based Stonehaus Winery where he and his wife Thea and sons Ted and Thomas worked all day bottling the second batch of his signature “Kiss This Sweet Cherry Wine.” His family also surprised him with a birthday cake, made of two giant cherries.
“I had a great party with friends and family a few days before and on the actual day, we bottled 6,000 bottles of our ‘Kiss This Sweet Cherry Wine’ at Stonehaus Winery,” says Tippin. “Turning the big 6-0 wasn’t so bad after all. Bring on the next 60!”
Tippin’s new cherry wine is available for purchase at Stonehaus Winery (phone: 931-484-WINE / online: www.stonehauswinery.
NASH Country Daily‘s Jim Casey recently caught up with Tippin during an exclusive Writers Room podcast where the country crooner talked turning 60, staying active in the gym, performing for the troops, flying airplanes, making wine, writing songs, and much more. Listen HERE.
