Praised for his “gritty, blues-rock influenced country sound and thick vocals” (Taste of Country) and ability to “turn heads with his vocals” (Billboard), his new, full-length album – a follow up to last year’s self-titled EP release – is due out later this year.
Since his 2016 runner-up win on NBC’s The Voice (Team Blake), Wakefield has launched a successful solo career, releasing debut single “Blame It On Me” last year. The song was praised by fans and industry alike, amassing over one million streams on Spotify and earning Wakefield a featured spot on SiriusXM The Highway for nearly ten weeks. Last year, he hit the road with GRAMMY Award-winning bluegrass group The Steeldrivers as lead singer and made his Grand Ole Opry debut in September.
“Dry Days” and “Cheap Whiskey & Bad Cocaine” are now available for purchase and streaming on all outlets.
