Adam Whitehead, who landed at #2 on the Apple Country Albums Chart behind Gabby Barrett this past June with his Single Mom EP, has released his second album, ironically titled: #2.
A newcomer in the world of country music, Whitehead leaped head first into writing, performing, and recording after his late father, John Whitehead, Jr., pushed him to use his talents to create a name for himself. His new album, set to be available as a digital preorder on December 16th, comes with an in-your-face Outlaw country track “A Life Worth Lived”, dedicated to his father.
Each track on the album is in the most pure and raw form of acoustic transparency with ballads sure to keep the listeners hitting the repeat button. Whitehead has appeared on Billboard Sound, Music Row Magazine and most recently as a guest on the Iowa NBC affiliate, WHO-TV 13’s mid-morning show, Hello Iowa, with host Megan Reuther.
All of this coming in the past year after transitioning to a full time performer during the pandemic, he says, “We might as well do what we love and shoot for the stars. Where there’s a will, there’s a way – even in this pandemic. The thing is, ‘I’ didn’t build this platform, ‘We’ built this platform. Me, you, the fans, stations like KBOE and KIX101. It’s a big puzzle and everyone is an important piece of the bigger picture. I just want to be that guy who uses it to bring people’s spirits up with my tunes while COVID is trying to drag us down. My music has been doing that and each set of ears is a win!”
