Kid Rock and his fans fell in love with the girls on his eighth annual Chillin’ the Most Cruise, 2017, where they performed six shows. They were also chosen by LiveNation to be the opener for Bon Jovi in Birmingham, AL earlier this year. Most recently they wowed fans at the CMA Music Fest in Nashville.
“I recently saw Sweet Tea Trio at the CMA Fest and they tore the place down! They are not only uber talented, but they are wonderful spirited young ladies with big Alabama smiles! I predict now, these girls are headed for the big time!,” Kid Rock said.
The Trio’s self titled EP debuted on the i-Tunes Country Chart at number 11 this past June and has continued to delight audiences and the country music industry alike. The EP was produced by Jason Wyatt (former lead singer of The Lost Trailers) with Executive Producer Matt Rovey (Zach Brown Band, Craig Campbell, Dean Brody).
“We are really proud of this EP, as we focused on creating something special that captured who we are as group,” Falcon said. “I am excited that fans can now listen to our words and harmonies that make us sisters at heart, whenever they want to,” Coker said.
The Trio have two original songs on the six-song project; the other songs are written by top Nashville writers including Josh Kear, Mark Irwin, Brandi Clark, Shane McAnally and Josh Osborne.
Originally from Alabama, the now Nashville-based trio met in January of 2014 through a Birmingham artist development program called Nashville Bound. Each artist sang individually when they initially entered the program but quickly felt an instant vocal connection once they sang together. The Trio has been performing together ever since.
