Big Machine Label Group’s Alex Williams released his debut album Better Than Myself on August 11 to high praise from Billboard (“anything but ordinary”), Rolling Stone (“Somewhere between Jennings and Jones”), and NPR (“phenomenal performances from a hard-twanging, loose-limbed band”). The 12-track album concludes with repentant “Last Cross” and on Friday (9/1), the outlaw country singer/songwriter released an acoustic performance video for the song.
Being accompanied by only two acoustic guitars allows Willliams’ vocals to add an even more poignant, yet optimistic, emotion to the song.
