NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Sounds Like Nashville exclusively premiered the edgy video for Alyssa Trahan’s single “Ain’t Ever Goin’ Back.” The swampy tune lends itself to the story that unfolds throughout the video. Trahan portrays the realities of an abusive relationship, but like any good country song, that doesn’t last long. In the end, the female lead delivers some homespun justice in a nod to The Chicks’ hit song “Goodbye Earl.” Watch the video here.
“This video is the edgiest and most cinematic video I’ve ever done and I’m so excited for everyone to finally see it! This song is an anthem of empowerment and I wanted the video to echo that. I hope it not only empowers people watching, but brings attention to the very real problem that is domestic abuse,” says Trahan.
“Rising country singer Alyssa Trahan is spotlighting domestic abuse and a toxic relationship in her dark music video for ‘Ain’t Ever Goin’ Back.'” – Jeremy Chua, Sounds Like Nashville
“Ain’t Ever Goin’ Back” has been featured in Guitar Girl Magazine, calling her “a force to be reckoned with and a killer guitarist as well” and featured in NYCountry Swag’s New Country Music playlist on Spotify. Listen to the single here.
Trahan has remained busy during quarantine. She was the Featured Artist of June with Breedlove Guitars and has partnered with LUSH Cosmetics for their summer campaign. On top of that, fans can catch her on her weekly Comfy Couch Livestream on Sunday nights on Facebook.
