• AG Entertainment Visionaries Join In TV Production Endeavor
With Goal To Launch New Series •
NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Kolt Barber and Seth Wood have announced their mutual alliance in a television production endeavor to introduce a new series positioned to draw audiences with an “American Spirit” and a palate for real-life TV.
Barber, who is a country recording artist (Barbed Wire Entertainment), owner of Maverick Management, and the creator of The American Cowboy Showdown, joined Wood (Swood Media), producer of “Corn Warriors” and “The Pod Fathers” (RFD-TV) to launch the production of the television series, “Saddle To The Stage.”
An idea spawned by The Kolt Barber American Cowboy Showdown (an IPRA sanctioned event that combines rodeo and live country music entertainment) which kicked of in June this summer, the real life, action-packed, country music and agri-tainment TV show, “Saddle To The Stage,” will chronicle the life and times of a fast-paced traveling rough-stock rodeo, a touring band, and an AG consultant and rancher—to harvest the all-American spirit of the great outdoors.
“Livening the ‘American Spirit,’ this reality TV show will cater to the AG community—farmers, ranchers, cowboys—and those who have an admiration for our American history, livelihood and way of life,” Barber said. “Our commitment, first and foremost, is to provide family entertainment based on true-to-life stories and excitement from behind the rodeo chutes, in the field and studio and from center stage.”
“Having experience attracting TV audiences that live in rural areas, an audience that is starving for ‘real TV,’ we are confident ‘Saddle To The Stage’ holds great promise for success,” added Seth Wood, Swood Media.
The brand new TV & streaming series will capture the cultural context of the modern-day cowboy, rodeo competitor, AG businessman and Nashville recording artist through this behind-the-scenes, real time, reality-meets-travelogue, meets music entertainment and rodeo production. Production began in June filming at various locations throughout the Southeast.
