Nashville, Tenn. – Andrew Crawford and Brandi Colt are going straight-ahead Bluegrass with their latest single, “All I See Is You.” Out today via Bonfire Music Group, it marks the pair’s third single together and latest from their forthcoming full-length album coming soon. Joining them on instrumentals is Tony Wray playing bass, Tim Crouch on fiddle and mandolin, plus Curt Bumgarner pickin’ banjo. Brandi sings vocals, while Andrew does vocals and strums guitar. It’s available for DJ download and/or streaming HERE.
On “All I See Is You,” Andrew and Brandi put their unique twist on the track which was co-written by Shane Andress Smith, Bennett McCreary Brown and Timothy Allen, when it was originally released as a Country song in 2015. The fiddle-driven tune’s reimagined version fits perfectly in the Bluegrass format, with the South Carolina natives trading notes throughout. While they didn’t write this latest single they have written the majority of their latest music, and it has recently been noticed by prominent members of the Nashville songwriter community. As a result, they’re set to make their debut at The Bluebird Cafe on June 25, which is one of the most famous venues in town.
“This song is special to us for more reasons than just the fact that we have both been fans of Shane Smith and the Saints for years. When we first heard the song, we both immediately talked about how well the song would work as a duet,” says Crawford. Colt adds, “Once we decided that we really wanted to release a modern cover, this one kept calling to us so to speak. It was obvious that the sound and lyrics were special to us and that musically we could have a lot of fun with it. The first time we played and sang it together we knew it was the right cover for what we were wanting to accomplish.”
The dynamic duo of Crawford and Colt brings an uplifting twist to the high lonesome sound of Bluegrass and Country music. Set apart by Andrew Crawford’s high energy flat picking guitar and Brandi Colt’s soul-stirring voice, these two are an absolute Appalachian treasure. It was a very natural connection after the pair have shared the stage over the years opening for bands like The Kentucky Headhunters, Little Texas, Sunny Sweeney, Kayla Ray, Clint Park, Josh Morningstar, 49 Winchester, Wolfpen Branch, American Aquarium, and Billy Don Burns at numerous venues and festivals around the country.
Andrew Crawford & Brandi Colt are gearing up for their upcoming project, which is set for release later this year. Fans were treated to the first taste with the lead single, “In This Dirt” and then the follow-up “Gamblers and Gypsies.” Their powerfully haunting harmonies accompanied by their moving approach to songwriting are truly keeping the spirit of traditional Country music and Bluegrass alive.
