NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Rising singer/songwriter Carter Faith received a standing ovation as she closed out the night with an unforgettable performance for the sold-out crowd, when she took the stage to make her Ryman Auditorium debut during Whiskey Jam’s 10th anniversary celebration. Whiskey Jam curator and Apple Music’s Ward Guenther introduced her by claiming Faith is the “future for the next 10 years of Nashville.” Other performers included Jimmie Allen, Brett Young, Lauren Alaina, Ryan Hurd, Old Dominion, Lindsey Ell and Chris Young among others.
Once she took the historic stage, she performed her current single “Joyride,” the leading track on her upcoming EP LET LOVE BE LOVE due out on August 20th.
“On my first trip to Nashville, my family and I decided to go to a Ryman show at the last minute,” shares Faith. “The Ryman is such a special place, and I made an unsaid pact with myself that I wouldn’t step foot inside again until I was making my debut.”
On Friday, Faith launched the campaign for her upcoming debut EP LET LOVE BE LOVE, and if you pre-save the project on Apple Music, you’ll receive “Buzzkilla” as an instant grat track. She recently made a high-profile appearance on Apple Music’s Country Risers Radio where she was the featured artist of the week, and Guenther praised her for “making some of the best music to come out of Nashville.”
“When Ward asked me to represent all of the Country Risers and new artists working so hard for their dream at the Whiskey Jam anniversary show, I was so honored” exclaimed Faith. “It still does not feel real that I got to perform on that amazing stage, and I am so thankful that I got to be a part of the celebration. I know it is something that will be tattooed in my mind and on my heart forever.”
The songwriter, who has been lauded by CMT for her “confessional songwriting and vulnerable vocals,” recently delivered a “perfect summer love song” (Wide Open Country) with “Joyride” that has already amassed over one million streams and counting. A “rising star in the country music world” (Just Jared Jr.), also gave listeners a sneak peek of what’s to come with acoustic project THE DUSK SESSIONS, which showcased her clear, emotion-filled vocals with support from an effectively elegant piano backing. The recordings, that showcase her “rootsy country sound” (Sounds Like Nashville), included original tracks “Leaving Tennessee” and “Easy Pill,” as well as a reimagined version of Britney Spears’ “...Baby One More Time.” After receiving a combined 12 million plus streams, Faith is quickly making a name for herself in Nashville.
