Nashville, TN – Average Joes Entertainment CEO/President, Shannon Houchins, and label co-founder and country star, Colt Ford, released the following statements regarding the tragic death yesterday of Average Joes’ recording artist, Troy Gentry, a member of country super-star duo, Montgomery Gentry:
“I am heartbroken at the loss of Troy,” commented Colt Ford. “He was truly a gifted artist and fine human being, and I’m proud I could call him my friend. His impact on country music will not be forgotten.”
“I, along with everyone here at Average Joes, am devastated by the news of Troy’s passing,” stated Shannon Houchins. “Personally, there are no words to express the sadness I feel for Troy’s family and for Eddie Montgomery. Troy was an exceptional talent, an exceptional person and a good friend. We will all miss him greatly.”
Montgomery Gentry re-signed with Average Joes Entertainment last year, and recently put the finishing touches on a new album for the label.
