MEMPHIS, TENN. – It will be a night to remember on July 1, as country legend T.G. Sheppard and country songstress Kelly Lang return to Memphis for a must-see performance at The Guest House at Graceland Theater. Both acts will share the stage to deliver a set list spanning over three decades worth of hits. In an effort to show that traditional country music is back and more prominent than ever, Sheppard and Lang will bring a lively, energetic show that will have concert attendees on their feet. The audience will be taken on a walk down memory lane, with a combination of sing-along ballads and upbeat tracks. Fans can purchase tickets for the Springer Mountain Farms presented show online, or by calling 1-800-238-2000 or 901-473-6110.
“Words can’t describe how excited we are to be coming to Graceland to do this show,” said T.G. Sheppard. Kelly Lang adds, “We are so looking forward to performing at this new theater at the Guest House and meeting new Elvis fans!”
Sheppard, a native of Humboldt, Tennessee first met Elvis when he was just 15 years old, and would later work for RCA Records promoting Presley’s recordings. Both artists formed a close personal and professional relationship, with Elvis appreciating T.G.’s unique style and personality. As a token of their friendship, the “Jailhouse Rock” singer gave Sheppard his first tour bus in 1976, helping to provide him with the confidence to give up the promotion business, and hit the road full-time. From there, Sheppard would go on to score 21 number one hits, including signature songs like “I Loved ‘Em Every One,” “Party Time,” “Last Cheaters Waltz,” and later be ranked as one of the top artists in all of country music, still performing and playing more shows that ever before due to the resurgence of traditional country music.
Critically acclaimed singer-songwriter Kelly Lang has been captivating audiences for years with her powerful voice. She will be performing songs from her latest project, Throwback, the project which featured collaborations with Olivia Newton-John, Lee Greenwood and Paul Shaffer. As an inductee into the North American Country Music Hall of Fame, Lang’s show-stopping vocals have delighted fans for over three decades, while sharing the stage with some of the most iconic performers of all-time.
