Award winning singer/songwriter, Matt Rogers, announced the release of his latest single, “Forgettin’ You Was Fun” on the Cumulus syndicated morning show Ty, Kelly & Chuck during his visit to the NASH FM studio Thursday morning (4/27). The single is the first song released from his upcoming EP, Richest Place On Earth and is available on all digital platforms. The Georgia native recorded the project under multi-platinum selling, Grammy nominated producer Matt McClure (Lee Brice, Lindsay Ell) and penned the song with Pat Savage.
“Everyone has one relationship they are glad they got out of,” says Rogers. “So it stemmed from there to be a positive, happy break up song. Something that most people can relate to and maybe put a smile on their face.”
Matt’s unmistakable vocals and elite songwriting skills come together to create the perfect storm for this addictive single. “I did everything I had to do to make my way to over you, and it took some doing but you know I got it done. Yea baby…forgettin’ you was fun,” sings Rogers before breaking into a flawless guitar solo. The upbeat tune puts a new twist on country’s traditional break up songs and has become a fan favorite at his hundreds of live shows across the country.
