LOS ANGELES – AXS TV is goin’ Country this month, putting the spotlight on some of the genre’s biggest names and most influential artists with a Stetson-sized block packed with insightful sitdowns, classic concerts, in-depth documentaries, exclusive content and more, in honor of the Country Music Association’s National Country Music Month. The special event features Country-themed content airing across all AXS TV platforms.
AXS TV’s National Country Music Month lineup is headlined by the all-new original program At Home And Social With Lady A – An AXS TV Special Event, premiering Saturday, October 23 at 8 p.m, ET/5 p.m. PT. The special is hosted by AXS TV’s own Katie Daryl—executive producer and host of the music-themed countdown series The Top Ten Revealed—who sits down with the five-time GRAMMY® winners for an exclusive evening of concert and conversation that finds the critically acclaimed trio opening up about the creation of their latest album What A Song Can Do, and the unique freedom they felt in not having to rush to meet a deadline; giving the inside scoop on their life on the road and their favorite pre-show antics; sharing what they’re most thankful for this Thanksgiving; reflecting on the fan response to their recent name change; and performing a selection of hits that includes the world premiere performance video of “Swore I Was Leaving,” the titular track “What A Song Can Do,” and an acoustic rendition of the smash single “I Run To You.” This special will also re-broadcast on Sunday, October 24 at Noon ET. Additionally on October 23, AXS TV presents two days of hit-heavy sets in the Country Concert Marathon Weekend block starting at 12 p.m. ET. Other National Country Music Month highlights include a fully-loaded Saturday Stack block on October 16, looking back at Dan Rather’s candid conversations with the Kings & Queens Of Country on The Big Interview featuring Tanya Tucker, Keith Urban, Dolly Parton, Luke Combs, Kenny Rogers, Trisha Yearwood, Willie Nelson, and Shania Twain. Following The Big Interview, take a trip to Music City for a night of behind-the-scenes anecdotes and incredible sets, as Country titans Big & Rich, Lonestar, Travis Tritt, and Gretchen Wilson share the stories behind their most enduring hits on The Song – Recorded Live @ TGL Farms. Then, stay tuned for a trio of acclaimed documentaries profiling three Country and Southern Rock trailblazers with Alan Jackson: Small Town Southern Man, Gone With The Wind: The Remarkable Rise And Tragic Fall Of Lynyrd Skynyrd, and The Allman Brothers Band – After The Crash.
As part of the National Country Music Month festivities, AXS TV also presents a roster of digital exclusives, as Katie Daryl breaks down the latest music news—including some can’t-miss Country tidbits like an interview with rising country star Reyna Roberts on Music High 5, and genre standout Matt Stell shows off his collection of music memorabilia on Rock & Tell (Oct. 16) and then At Home And Social features rising star Jordan Davis (available now) and Country favorite Rodney Atkins (Oct. 21).
