LOS ANGELES – AXS TV brings ‘Joy To The World’ this December with a festive lineup featuring some of the biggest names in music. The special event is packed with premiere concerts, acclaimed films, themed specials and culminates with two days of music marathons airing all day long on December 24 and December 25.
AXS TV rocks into the most wonderful time of the year with a Saturday Stack event on December 3, starting at 10aE. The block is headlined by a pair of premieres, starting with the Tunnel To Towers Foundation’s heartwarming Homes For The Holidays special at 7pE—a star-studded evening benefiting families of fallen first-responders and Gold Star heroes. The night is hosted by acclaimed singer-songwriter Ashley McBryde, and also features appearances and performances by GRAMMY®-winning Country icon Travis Tritt, Yellowstone star Cole Hauser, R&B innovators Robert Randolph And The Family Band, and rising Country trio Runaway June. Then, rock trailblazer Sting shines in an intimate performance at one of London’s most famous landmarks, reflecting on his life and career as he performs songs from his 2009 album If On A Winter’s Night… for the first time ever in Sting: A Winter’s Night… Live From Durham Cathedral at 8pE. Check out the promo here.
The festivities continue on December 5 at 9pE with the network premiere of the Oscar-nominated Dickens adaptation Scrooge, starring Albert Finney as the titular miser and Alec Guinness as Jacob Marley. Then, fan-favorite executive producer/host Katie Daryl joins a celebrity panel to countdown the most legendary “Christmas Crooners” on The Top Ten Revealed. From Crosby and Cole, to Sinatra and more, will your favorite make the cut? Find out on December 6 at 8pE.
On December 24 at 10aE, the two-day spectacular begins with themed episodes of The Top Ten Revealed and a holiday edition of Nothing But Videos. Then, stay tuned for a spirited selection of concerts that includes Faith Hill joining a 31-piece orchestra and big band to perform “Holly, Jolly Christmas,” “Silent Night,” “O Come All Ye Faithful,” and more in Faith Hill—Joy To The World; a cinematic tale capturing a young runaway’s journey home on the night before Christmas in Trans-Siberian Orchestra: The Ghosts Of Christmas Eve, narrated by Ossie Davis with an appearance by Jewel; rock trailblazers Heart in a hometown set featuring “Santa’s Going South,” “Ring Them Bells” and “Remember Christmas” with Sammy Hagar, Shawn Colvin, Pat Monahan and Richard Marx in Heart & Friends: Home For The Holidays From Benaroya Hall; rockabilly superstar Chris Isaak’s hit-packed holiday extravaganza performing “The Christmas Song,” “Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer,” and “White Christmas” alongside Stevie Nicks, Michael Bublé and Brian McKnight in Chris Isaak Christmas; and many more.
