“I had the idea of doing an EP with features on it – over the course of a year, I had worked with so many artists and we’d had so much fun, that people jumped onboard,” HARDY explains. “That was kinda the plan all along – to build a ‘HiXTAPE’ mafia and invite everyone along for the joyride. In the future, I won’t be the only person to make a HiXTAPE. It feels like there’s room enough for a whole bunch of us to play here.”

Launching a HiXTAPE website and HiXSHOP webstore stocked with official HiXTAPE apparel, the lifestyle brand is dedicated to keeping the country crowd partying with an animated music video of HARDY’s “He Went to Jared” featuring Morgan Wallen – as featured on The New York Times’ The Playlist for the duo being “rapscallion-like, and shaggy at the edges” – on-tap for viewing. Penned by Michael Hardy, Chase McGill, and Morgan Wallen, the “white-collar/blue-collar romantic square-off” (The New York Times) has become a fan-favorite from HiXTAPE, VOL. 1 – which currently has surpassed 2.2 MILLION monthly listeners and over 8.9 MILLION monthly streams on Spotify.
