NASHVILLE, TN – Billboard has released their first-ever Independent Power List and Big Machine Label Group (BMLG) is featured prominently with President/CEO Scott Borchetta in the top position, being named Executive of the Year by the publication. Celebrating BMLG’s 12-year anniversary next month, Borchetta has led the charge on more than 50 million albums sold by Big Machine artists in addition to sending nearly 200 singles to No. 1 on the Country, Pop and Rock charts. Recently tapped on Billboard’s Power 100 list, he has also been included in Fast Company’s 100 Most Creative People in Business as well as being honored with the Music Business Association’s prestigious Presidential Award for Outstanding Executive in 2015.

At Borchetta’s side since inception has been Big Machine Label Group Chief Operating Officer Andrew Kautz who joins him on the prestigious list. Kautz has been a driving force at the Label Group where Big Machine secured itself as the first-ever American label to align with terrestrial radio for performance royalty rights for its artists. Kautz is on the board of Leadership Music and A2IM and serves as an industry leader in fighting for artist, songwriter, publisher and record company rights. Earlier this year BMLG launched Big Machine TV, the label’s own ad-supported proprietary video platform which increases its ability to monetize its video assets.

Big Machine Label Group encompasses Big Machine Records, The Valory Music Co., BMLG Records, Nash Icon Records and publishing company Big Machine Music as well as its own digital radio station, Big Machine Radio. BMLG artists include superstars Taylor Swift, Rascal Flatts, Reba McEntire, Florida Georgia Line, Thomas Rhett, Brantley Gilbert, Hank Williams Jr., Ronnie Dunn, Cheap Trick and Jennifer Nettles; chart-topping acts Justin Moore, Eli Young Band, Brett Young, Aaron Lewis, The Voice winner Danielle Bradbery, American Idol Season 15 winner Trent Harmon; up-and-comers The Cadillac Three, Drake White, Tucker Beathard, Tara Thompson, Midland, Carly Pearce, Delta Rae and Alex Williams. BMLG also helms soundtracks for the hit TV show “NASHVILLE.” BMLG artists have received multiple GRAMMY, CMA, ACM, AMA, CMT, Teen Choice, MTV, Billboard, People’s Choice and Brit Awards. Visit BigMachineLabelGroup.com for more information.
