Produced By GRAMMY Winner Glen Duncan and Sony/ATV’s Adam Engelhardt
Rising bluegrass artist Joe Hott is excited to announce the release of his debut album with Rural Rhythm Records “West Virginia Rail,” produced by GRAMMY award-winning Glen Duncan and Sony/ATV Music producer Adam Engelhardt. The album is available today on Spotify,iTunes, Amazon and all other online retailers.
“West Virginia Rail” features seven brand new original songs co-written by Joe and three songs with a Stanley Brothers connection. “If That’s The Way You Feel” written by Ralph Stanley, “Loving You Too Well” written by Carter Stanley, and “I Can’t Get You Out of My Mind” (only available on the physical copy of the album) written by Jack Lynch and Archie Jones for Stanley Brothers band member Roy Lee Centers.
“‘West Virginia Rail’ has that great old school, traditional feel to it,” explains Hott. “It is an album that can really take you back to a much simpler time. I could not have achieved this goal without Glen Duncan and Adam Engelhardt co-writing and producing this fine record!”
The twelve song album has already produced two bluegrass charting singles, “West Virginia Rail” and “World of Lies.” The unique blend of retro-bluegrass, traditional country, gospel and original Appalachian mountain music on this project makes the West Virginia-born Joe Hott a rare treasure on today’s music scene.
“From the moment we sat down to write with Joe Hott, we knew we had something special,” says Glen Duncan, producer and co-writer of the album. “The very first song we wrote with Joe was “West Virginia Rail,” so, just like we wrote in our song: ‘Engineer won’t you hold your throttle wide open, just as fast as she will sail,’ and take a ride with Joe Hott on the “West Virginia Rail.”
