Nashville, TN. – Bobby Bones, host of iHeartMedia’s The Bobby Bones Show is bringing his “hilarious” (Tennessean) quick-witted brand of comedy to the Grand Ole Opry Tuesday, August 8.
While Bones has previously taken the Opry stage with his band Bobby Bones & The Raging Idiots, this will mark his first time bringing a stand-up comedy routine to the venue. Comedy continues to be an important part of the entertainment mix at the Opry, the show that through the years welcomed as members such legendary comedians as Country Music Hall of Famers Minnie Pearl, Rod Brasfield, and the Duke of Paducah as well as Jerry Clower and Archie Campbell, among others.
“I love the Opry. I love to tell jokes. I hope people love me when I’m at the Opry telling jokes,” said Bones. “If you are reading this and you are coming, please laugh.”
Leg two of Bone’s FUNNY & ALONE STAND UP COMEDY TOUR is currently underway, following more than 15 sold-out shows earlier this year. Lauded by Sounds Like Nashville as “one we’d see time and time again,” the shows became an instant hit amongst audiences, with some venues selling out minutes after going on sale. Honored by ASCAP with the “Partners In Music” Award for consistently breaking and supporting new artists, Bones invited special guests Carly Pearce and Nikita Karmen along for the second leg of the tour. Recently voted for induction into the National Radio Hall Of Fame as the youngest inductee ever, Bobby Bones has been dubbed “the most powerful man in country music” (Forbes). His nationally syndicated radio show reaches millions of listeners on 100+ stations. Bones’ hilarious memoir, BARE BONES: I’M NOT LONELY IF YOU’RE READING THIS BOOK (Dey Street Books), landed at #1 on the New York Times, USA Today and Wall Street Journal Bestsellers Lists.
