BOBBY BONES VISITS MUSICARES IN NASHVILLE TO CELEBRATE DONATION
RAISED BY #PIMPINJOY MOVEMENT
Nashville, TN – Bobby Bones, host of iHeartMedia’s The Bobby Bones Show, visited MusiCares® at the Nashville Chapter of The Recording Academy® last week to deliver a check to the organization for $32,000. In partnership with The Bobby Bones Show and TheShopForward.com, Bones helped raise the donation by dedicating all proceeds from the sale of #PIMPINJOY apparel in September to the MusiCares Foundation®, which provides a safety net of critical assistance for music people in times of need.
#PIMPINJOY is a movement created by The Bobby Bones Show to celebrate people who may be going through a rough time, but choose to spread joy in their daily lives. It was first launched to honor Bones’ co-host Amy and her mother Judy, who had been battling, and unfortunately lost, her battle with cancer, but it never diminished her spirit. Throughout their struggle, both women made a conscious effort to not let hardship or difficulty cause them to lose hope or positivity in their lives – instead, they chose to be happy, pass on joy, and influence others to do the same. The movement inspired a line of apparel with proceeds benefiting various charities, as well as an annual “Joy Week” celebration marked by superstar appearances on the show.
With an affinity for wanting to help others, Bobby Bones recently released THE RAGING KIDIOTS: KIDDY UP! on Black River Entertainment, a project with the aim of informing, educating and entertaining the younger set. The album debuted this month as the top downloaded children’s album, as Sounds Like Nashville declared that the 12-track disc, co-written by Bobby Bones, showcases his ability to “fill lyrics with important lessons and a catchy tune that is guaranteed to get stuck in your head and remember what you learned, no matter how old you are.”
