Hit Songwriters Take Over Gatlinburg, Tennessee for Music-Filled Weekend
NASHVILLE, TN — Awarded singer/songwriter Bobby Marquez joins some of country music’s biggest songwriters to fill the Smoky Mountains with song this weekend, August 16th through August 20th in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. The sixth annual Smoky Mountain Songwriters Festival features several stages at venues across one of America’s most popular vacation destinations. This will be one of the first major events in Gatlinburg since the November 2016 wildfires.
Music lovers can catch a taste of Bobby Marquez’s tongue-in-cheek and heartfelt lyrics at two shows during the festival. Marquez will host his own show at Dick’s Last Resort in Gatlinburg at 8:15 pm on Friday, August 18th. Marquez will also take stage Saturday, August 19th at 1:15pm at Three Jimmy’s. Plus, fans can enjoy random jam sessions across the Smoky Mountain resort town.
Marquez states, ” I can’t wait to play alongside and listen in to some of my favorite songwriters. These guys and gals are masters. It is amazing to witness their interpretations of the hit songs they created.”
Sylvia, Con Hunley, Tony Arata, Pat Alger, Victoria Shaw, Bobby Tomberlin and Jim Glaser are some of the amazing songwriters participating this year. The public is invited with over 150 shows in four days.
