Bobby Marquez Fires Up The St. Jude Rock N Roll Marathon

Fifth Annual Performance Is One of Three Events for Marquez in 2018
To Raise Funds For St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital

NASHVILLE, TN — Award-winning singer/songwriter Bobby Marquez is known for moving boots across a dance floor, but this weekend, his upbeat honk tonk tunes will set the pace for thousands of sneakers hitting the pavement for the annual St. Jude Rock N Roll Marathon. Marquez and legendary fiddle player, Ernie Reed of Mel Tillis’s Statesiders fame, will motivate runners in the final stretch at mile 19 in East Nashville at the corner of Russell Street and 7th Street from 8am until 12 noon on Saturday, April 28th.

This will be the fifth year for Bobby Marquez to participate in the annual fundraiser for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. “This year will be much different. I have always had the 5k, half marathon and full marathon runners singing along, fist pumping and full of energy as they come across the stage. This year, I am in the final stretch and there to fire up those ultimate athletes to catch a second wind and make it across the finish line. It is a huge goal. I can’t let them down,” shares Bobby Marquez.

The St. Jude Rock N Roll Marathon is one of three annual events Marquez participates in to raise funds for a charity very close to his heart, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Bobby Marquez and Workout Anytime 24/7 present their annual Country With Heart Benefit on June 9th this year at The Nashville Nightlife Theatre with an all-star lineup. And Marquez will entertain alongside Mark Chesnutt in September at the annual Buck Creek Trailride benefiting St. Jude.

Marquez adds, “I sure hope we have a lot of cheerleaders alongside the route. There are athletes from all over the world coming to Music City this weekend. Let’s turn up the volume.”

Bobby Marquez can also be seen in the new Scott Southworth video, “I Ain’t Leaving Town.” Plus, June will bring a new album, CMA performances and his annual Country With Heart benefit for St. Jude from Bobby Marquez.
