‘The Cowboy Way’ Album Now Playing Worldwide on Radio and Online
NASHVILLE, TN — The support for Bobby Marquez’s new album, ‘The Cowboy Way,’ has been overwhelming. The singer/songwriter is currently at number two on the Kickin’ Cuts Chart and at number 25 on the Top 200 Country Music Chart in Germany less than a month after the release.
“Growing up in a small town in Texas, I never dreamed any of those songs I scribbled onto notebook paper would be heard by country music fans literally around the world. Thanks to all of those Ernest Tubb, Ray Price and Bob Wills records growing up that inspired me, I now have so many great friends on the radio that I will forever be grateful to,” shares Marquez.
Top Country Hits will feature songs from the album in Uruguay, Argentina, Mexico and Spain in the upcoming weeks on FM and internet radio stations. It is the latest program to add selections from ‘The Cowboy Way’ project. Billy Bowles at KSSL in Texas hosted the world premiere of the CD. WSM radio spotlighted songs along with Keeping It Country Live and My Kind of Country and the Black Dog morning show. The BBC, Americana and Country radio stations across Australia, Ireland, Sweden, France and Germany added tracks. Several western music shows broadcasting worldwide are also playing the title track.
“There is a lot of great music out now, so when DJs like Western Red or Gary Holt or The Iceman…Bill Cody…..Bruno or Marie overseas….any of these legends squeeze in one of my songs, it is unbelievable,” states Bobby Marquez.
The title track has generated an amazing buzz, even creating a rare occurrence at the world famous venue, The Bluebird Cafe. In front of a sold-out crowd this past weekend, the audience began singing along with Marquez as he performed that original tune. The Academy of Western Artists honored Bobby Marquez as Pure Country Male Artist for his recording. And The CMA of Texas picked Marquez as the first-ever Cowboy/Western Artist of the Year as well.
