NASHVILLE, TN. – Hot on the heels of announcing his sophomore album TICKET TO L.A. – out December 7 on BMLG Records – MULTI-PLATINUM-selling Country star Brett Young has revealed “Here Tonight” as the project’s first single. Featuring a new rush of romantic energy to match his irresistible Country soul, the hearts-on-fire anthem is all about living in the moment and is available everywhere digital today via https://BrettYoung.lnk.to/
“‘Here Tonight’ is about those moments, if you’re lucky enough to have them in your life, that are so good that you wish they could last forever,” Young says.
Penned by the breakout star alongside Ben Caver, Justin Ebach and Lady Antebellum’s Charles Kelley, “Here Tonight” follows a four pack of deeply moving No. 1 hits (PLATINUM “Sleep Without You,” 3X PLATINUM “In Case You Didn’t Know,” PLATINUM “Like I Loved You,” and PLATINUM “Mercy”). Young’s heart-tugging sentiments have made him one of the most passionate new artists of the past decade, but as the hit maker embarks on the next chapter of his life and career, “Here Tonight” highlights a positive new season. Led by Young’s signature smoky vocal – but backed by propulsive drums and arena-filling guitars, the track is destined to inspire hands-in-the-air singalongs around the country.
“It’s very light – intentionally – and sonically it’s very upbeat,” he explains. “That doesn’t exist as much on the first album, so I wanted to showcase a bit more versatility this time around. I think it’s the perfect way to cap off the summer.”
Reuniting with producer Dann Huff (Keith Urban, Faith Hill) and featuring 13 brand new tracks – 10 of which Young co-wrote – TICKET TO L.A. injects a vivid dose of SoCal charisma into Young’s unique brand of Music City soul. Fans can pre-order TICKET TO L.A. now at BrettYoungMusic.com, where a limited number of destination bundles are available that also include either a California or Tennessee scented travel candle, enamel pin set, hand-numbered poster, plus a signed CD booklet.
Young will be in New York City next week for multiple appearances leading up to his album launch, beginning Monday, September 17 with a PBS Front & Center special with fellow chart-topper Carly Pearce at the Opry City Stage. Tickets for the taping are available at https://www.oprycitystage.
Currently nominated for CMA Awards New Artist of the Year, Young has built a dedicated fanbase since the first glimpse of breathtaking vulnerability with his 2016 debut and distinguishing himself with “In Case You Didn’t Know” as the first debut Country artist since 2014 to garner 3X PLATINUM certification.
