Nashville, TN – Brian Ramsay transports listeners to his adolescent home with the
Lead by a silvery-toned piano riff, Brian’s vocals shimmer as he embarks an audio journal of the stories that unfolded within what currently just looks like any empty dwelling. The tune’s descriptive lyrical composition takes you beyond the doorsteps into his childhood home, inviting a listener to recall their own memories of the place that served as the backdrop of their rearing years. Brian Ramsay co-wrote the song with Berklee College graduate Mary Ann Daugherty.
“Highway 106 was inspired by my childhood home, which was sold in 2020 after my father passed. My mom moved and sold the family home where we were raised in southern Arkansas. The song pays tribute and paints a picture of this rural home and the lifetime of memories it witnessed. Through this song, I hope listeners are reminded of their own fond memories of the place where they grew up.” said Brian.
“Highway 106” is the first of five singles Brian plans to release before his official EP drop in 2022.
Riding the yellow line between adult contemporary, country & Americana in a lane paved by Tracy Chapman, “Highway 106” is available for streaming now on all platforms and online retailers at Brian Ramsay Links.
