First-Ever Year Long Artist Residency At The Ryman Continues May 19th & May 20th
NASHVILLE, TN – Grammy Award-winning vocal group Little Big Town continue their unprecedented year-long artist residency, “Little Big Town at the Mother Church,” from Nashville’s famed Ryman Auditorium with upcoming dates on May 19th and May 20th. Monument Records’ recording artist Caitlyn Smithand The Brummies have been added as opening acts, with Smith opening May 19th and The Brummies scheduled to open on May 20th.
The reigning CMA and ACM Vocal Group of the Year first launched “Little Big Town at the Mother Church” withback-to-back, sold-out shows on February 24th and 25th,tied to the world-wide release of their seventh studio album, The Breaker. Theresidency’s opening weekend featured surprise guest appearances–an expectedstaple of future “Little Big Town at the Mother Church” dates—with on-stage performances from Sam Hunt, Chris Stapleton (2/24) and Andra Day (2/25).
“Little Big Town at the Mother Church” marks the only time in the venue’s 125-year history to host a year-long artist residency. Caitlyn Smith is “the voice everyone in Nashville is talking about” (Southern Living).The Cannon Falls, Minnesota native has penned songs for Dolly Parton,Kenny Rogers, Jason Aldean, Rascal Flatts, Garth Brooks, and Lady Antebellum,as well as the No. 1 Hot AC hit from Meghan Trainor and John Legend, “Like I’mGonna Lose You.” Following the release of her critically-acclaimed EP, Starfire, the singer/songwriter that Elle Magazine raved has “octave-defying vocals” has toured with everyone from Sheryl Crow to Eric Church and is now at work on her debut album on Monument Records, expected later this year.
After forming the duo John &Jacob and following the success of their co-penned No. 1 song “Done” recordedby The Band Perry, Alabama natives John Davidson and Jacob Bryant went on to form The Brummies along with Jake Thrasher and Trevor Davis. Since 2013, The Brummies have toured the world with The Band Perry, Kacey Musgraves, Sam Palladio, the Wild Feathers, St. Paul & The Broken Bones, and performed at numerous festivals, including Bonnaroo, Stagecoach, Shaky Boots, Firefly and The Hangout Music Festival.
