Tour Smashes Attendance Record at PREMIER Center in Sioux Falls, SD Praised by Forbes
As One of The “10 Hottest Tours of the Fall”
NASHVILLE, Tenn – Carrie Underwood’s “The Storyteller Tour – Stories in the Round” continued this past weekend with two sold-out concerts at Des Moines’ Wells Fargo Arena and Sioux Falls, SD’s Denny Sanford PREMIER Center, the latter of which set a new attendance record previously held by Elton John from last October. The tour was recently praised by Forbes as one of the ‘10 hottest tours of the fall.’
“The Storyteller Tour” has performed for over 800,000 fans since launching on January 30 playing to sold-out arena crowds in cities such as Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Boston, Washington DC, St. Louis, Denver, Phoenix, San Antonio, Houston, Chicago, Toronto, Hershey, and this past weekend in Des Moines and Sioux Falls, to name a few. Billboard ranked it as the #1 country tour for the first half of 2016. Upcoming sold-out shows include New York City’s Madison Square Garden.
Next week, Carrie will route the tour through Nashville to be honored for the third time by CMT as one of their “Artists of The Year.” Carrie will be recognized for her domination in country music in the last 12 months for her music chart success with three back-to-back #1 singles from her Gold-certified Storyteller album, ruling CMT platforms, and her highly successful “The Storyteller Tour.” The CMT “Artists of the Year” special premieres Thursday, October 20 at 8PM ET/PT.
