Casey Donahew Releases “Lost My Brothers Goat” Acoustic Album

Inspired By 12 Weeks of “Corona Happy Hour” Live Streams

Aledo, TX. — Quarantine live streams and a story from the road collide with the spontaneous release of “Lost My Brothers Goat,” a 9 track live acoustic album from Casey Donahew. With songs written by Casey and co-writes with Cody Johnson, Tim Nichols, Josh Leo and more, the album is available to stream and download here.

What started as a weekly live stream quickly escalated into a 12 week Texas variety show, complete with acoustic versions of Donahew favorites, new music, fan-inspired merchandise, real-time commentary plus backing vocals from Melinda Donahew, goat wrangling reports and a story that inspired the album title.

“I’m not sure how a story about a guy so drunk that he couldn’t sing the words to a song turned into us selling thousands of t-shirts and hats and making a new album, but it did. These are strange times that we live in, and this is my contribution.”

For those not familiar with the story behind the title, here’s Casey in his own words with the story that started it all.  Watch on YouTube

Casey is back on the road in June playing sold-out socially distanced shows and is resuming full band shows in August. For more information go to CaseyDonahew.com
