Charlie Daniels Celebrates 10th Opry Member Anniversary

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Legendary country superstar Charlie Daniels celebrated his 10th Anniversary as a Grand Ole Opry member with an appearance on the Opry last night at the Grand Ole Opry House. Daniels was inducted into the Opry family in 2008 by his longtime friends and Opry members Marty Stuart and Connie Smith.

On his induction night 10 years ago, Daniels proclaimed, “My Bible tells me God gives us the desires of our hearts, and tonight the promise has come true.” The Opry member then invited Stuart, Smith, Montgomery Gentry and Trace Adkins to join him on stage to perform the iconic “Will The Circle Be Unbroken.”

Additional performers on hand tonight to celebrate were fellow Opry members Adkins and Terri Clark as well as Rodney Atkins with the Fisk Jubilee Singers, T Graham Brown, Carly Pearce, and Kiefer Sutherland.

Daniels is scheduled to appear on Opry Country Classics at the Ryman Auditorium as Spotlight Artist May 24. Among other performers coming soon to the Opry and Opry Country Classics are Luke Combs, Crystal Gayle, Vince Gill, Brenda Lee, Aaron Lewis, Patty Loveless, Oak Ridge Boys, Old Crow Medicine Show, Eric Paslay, Charley Pride, Rascal Flatts, Marty Stuart, Tanya Tucker, Brett Young, and Chris Young. Tickets are available at (615) 871-OPRY and opry.com.
