Frontier Nights® Lineup Announced Live from Las Vegas at WNFR
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – In a live announcement made from the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center, Cheyenne Frontier Days™ (CFD) announced all but one of the names for the Frontier Nights® entertainment series and premiered a montage of all things western on the famous Viva Vision Light Show on Fremont Street. In addition to the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) Rodeo event, the CINCH Rodeo Shoot-Out and the Championship Bull Riding (CBR) World Finals event will return to the Cheyenne arena in 2017.
Tickets are now available at www.cfdrodeo.com, the Cheyenne Frontier Days™ Ticket Office, and by calling (307) 778-7222.
Brantley Gilbert, Little Big Town, Sawyer Brown, Luke Bryan, Thomas Rhett, and Jason Aldean with special guests Tyler Farr, David Nail, Joe Diffie, and The Bellamy Brothers were announced by Mark Miller, the lead singer of Sawyer Brown, from Las Vegas and live-streamed on the Wrangler Network. The artists will perform on the Frontier Nights’ stage, which is one of the largest portable stages in the festival industry, featuring a 50′ by 80′ permanent roof that allows greater production capability than the prior 40′ by 60′ stage which was created in 1988.
“We are pleased to announce all but one artist for our line-up tonight from Las Vegas,” Contract Acts chairman Scott Fleming said. “We are working on securing the remaining performance as soon as possible and will have a follow-up announcement at that time.”
CBR will be returning to CFD to crown the 2017 CBR World Champion. This is the culmination of the year-long 2017 Road to Cheyenne Tour, where bull riders have accumulated points towards the world title. Up for grabs is one of the most prestigious titles in bull riding and a $100,000 bonus won in 2016 by Sage Kimzey of Strong City, Oklahoma. The 2017 CBR World Finals is also the final event for the Million Dollar Bull Team Challenge, where bulls are competing for prize money. Competing on a team consisting of three bulls per team, last year’s bull team winner, Harris Bucking Bulls owned by Jeff Harris, of Palestine, Texas, took home a check for over $100,000.
Additionally, the CINCH Rodeo Shoot-Out (CRSO) will return after its third successful year. The CRSO is an invitational rodeo tournament for a new generation of rodeo fan. Forty athletes compete over five different events in an elimination-style format where a champion in each event will be crowned that afternoon. Watch top professional rodeo contestants competing along with College National Champions in this fast-paced format. Teams representing local businesses will compete to benefit charities.
The 121st annual “Daddy of ‘em All®” features nine days of PRCA professional rodeo that will culminate on Championship Sunday where champions are crowned and legends are made. There will be hundreds of vendors, a full carnival, and everything else fans have come to expect from the World’s Largest Outdoor Rodeo and Western Celebration.
Night show ticket prices will range from $27 to $69, with daily rodeo tickets costing $20 to $35. A $3 discount is offered on rodeo tickets purchased before July 1.
Fans can upgrade to a Frontier Nights® Fast Pass for early admission to the Party Zone, a voucher for best-available same-day rodeo tickets and a souvenir rodeo program. For a full events schedule and profiles of musical acts, go to www.cfdrodeo.com.
