Teased On ETonline.com, “Take Back Home Girl” Is The First Hint At Lane’s Upcoming Second Album
Single Out Friday (9/29), Headlining TAKE BACK HOME TOUR Begins October 25
Nashville, Tenn. – Coming off back-to-back, GOLD-certified singles and his first career #1 hit, Big Loud Records star CHRIS LANE is standing tall for good guys everywhere with a brand new single – “Take Back Home Girl” (featuring GRAMMY-nominated artist TORI KELLY).
Breaking his news on ETonline.com Wednesday (9/27), Lane revealed the fresh duet as a new evolution of his acclaimed R&B-meets-Country vibe, and the first hint at his upcoming second album.
A short teaser of the track is available on ETonline.com, and the full single will be available on all digital outlets this Friday (9/29). More details about Lane’s sophomore album will be announced soon.
“I’ve been a big fan of Tori’s for quite some time and I had this song that I was looking for a duet with,” Lane tells ET exclusively. “They asked me, ‘Who’s your dream collaboration partner?’ and she was the first person I said.”
Written by Hillary Lindsey, Josh Miller, and David Garcia, the new track is a slow-burning tribute to meeting that special girl and showing her around your hometown. Kelly – the Grammy-nominated Pop singer – provides a soaring counterpoint to Lane’s down-to-earth lyrics, the perfect mix of modern Country flair and traditional message.
Named as one of the “gentlemen of country” by the New York Times, “Take Back Home Girl” is the next step for Lane in a career that is currently on fire. After breaking out with his addictive first single “Fix” (a GOLD-certified #1 smash), his bold debut album, GIRL PROBLEMS, landed in Top 10 of Billboard’s Country Albums chart. Lane’s follow up single, “For Her,” earned the North Carolina native another GOLD certification, while also breaking into the Top 10 of the Country radio airplay charts.
Digitally, “Fix” has now been streamed over 37 Million times on Spotify alone, with “For Her” racking up 35 Million plays and counting. Meanwhile, an all-acoustic version of GIRL PROBLEMS is now streaming worldwide, and Lane’s success can also be seen on the road.
After turning heads all summer long as the opening act on Florida Georgia Line’s genre-busting THE SMOOTH TOUR 2017 (appearing alongside Hip-Hop icon Nelly and Pop idols Backstreet Boys for FGL’s first-ever headlining stadium concerts), his TAKE BACK HOME TOUR kicks off on October 25 in Baltimore, Maryland, and marks the high-flying singer’s first ever headlining run. He’ll be joined by up-and-comers Bailey Bryan, Dylan Schneider, and Morgan Wallen on select dates.
