AFTER SCORING PLATINUM CERTIFICATION IN CANADA
NASHVILLE, TENN. – Big Loud Records star CHRIS LANE is basking in the success of his sophomore album, LAPS AROUND THE SUN, available now on all digital platforms. Debuting at #1 on the iTunes Top Country Albums Chart in both the U.S. and Canada, the project follows the hitmaker’s three consecutive GOLD-certified singles.
Produced by studio ace Joey Moi and recorded with a live band, Lane’s new project hones in on an organic sound to accompany songs chosen based on meaning and personal connection. The 14-track collection continues to impact fans and critics as Sounds Like Nashville claims “Laps Around the SunReflects Growth, Clarity” and One Country praises his “Country Evolution is Evident” on the album.
Lane’s current single “Take Back Home Girl,” featuring GRAMMY-nominated singer-songwriter Tori Kelly, is closing in on Top 5 at Country radio. Now certified PLATINUM in Canada, the track has racked up nearly 200 million combined streams. Performing the song alongside Kelly for his high-profile TODAY debut (7/17), Lane “was at ease on stage” (One Country) while delivering his “strong and steady” vocals (Taste Of Country).
Taking over Billboard’s Spotify account to showcase the songs that inspired LAPS AROUND THE SUN, Lane recently shared a throwback-themed playlist for the publication’s #TBT Mixtape series. Click here to give it a spin.
The North Carolina native continues his stacked tour schedule this week, appearing in Las Vegas, NV (7/26), Mountain Home, ID (7/27) and Tooele, UT (7/28). Lane is set to round out the summer with headline dates and major festival appearances through September.
