Surprised With Honorary Plaque Backstage
At The Grand Ole Opry
Nashville, TN — Following the release of his brand-new album Famous Friends, multi-platinum, global entertainer Chris Young was surprised backstage following Saturday night’s Grand Ole Opry with a plaque commemorating more than 4 Billion streams to date on Pandora. The presentation took place during a special live taping of his podcast, The Quad with Chris Young. In recognition of the Opry member’s new status with the streaming platform, Chris has also been added to the Pandora Country Billionaires station.
Chris’s 8th studio album – Famous Friends – is led by the multi-week chart-topping title track with friend and labelmate Kane Brown. The 14-song project features several more of Chris’s famous friends, including a collaboration with Mitchell Tenpenny on the “booming duet” (Tennessean) “At The End Of A Bar,” which debuted as the #1 country song (#4 all-genre) on Pandora’s Top Thumb Hundred Chart this week. The new project also features a collaboration with Lauren Alaina, plus background vocals from Sarah Buxton and Hillary Lindsey.
