Grammy award-winning country artist, Gary Morris, will be honored at his alma mater, Cisco College, at their upcoming homecoming celebration on Saturday, October 16th. Morris will be recognized as a distinguished alumnus in a special ceremony, honoring his career as both a country music icon and a Broadway star.
“I have many fond memories of my time at Cisco learning lots of life lessons,” says Morris, reminiscing about his time at Cisco, “I appreciate the honor and am humbled.”
The ceremony will take place during halftime of the college’s annual homecoming football game against Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College. The game starts at 1:00 pm CT, with tickets being free of charge, but donations are accepted. As a natural athlete himself, Gary attended Cisco College on an athletic scholarship he earned playing four sports at Richland High School in North Richland Hills, TX. While attending Cisco College, Gary ignited the initial sparks of his music career, one that proved to be one of the most applauded and diverse, capturing ACM, CMA, and Grammy awards for his work in the country music and Broadway fields of entertainment.
