NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Country artist Clayton Shay quickly climbed the chart with a new single release “Knee On.” You can stream the new single on all digital platforms.
“I was trying to find a way to write a song involving the concept of “neon” in a way that’s different from all the other countless songs about it. So after thinking on it I realized that “Knee On” phonetically sounds the same as “neon” and from there it was all about how can we connect those two concepts in a way that’s relatable,” explains Clayton. “I think a lot of people have experienced falling in love with someone in a bar and having it turn into something long term, so we took that idea and ran with it.”
With the “Knee On” release, Clayton quickly climbed the iTunes Chart reaching #37 on Country charts and #154 on the iTunes All-Genre chart.
Clayton’s last single release “Signed, Another Man” placed #34 on the iTunes Country Charts and has accumulated 2 million streams to date. With the single release, Clayton was featured on CMT.com and reached a career milestone of 1 million views on the official release.
Clayton Shay hails from the cornfields of Illinois but has called Nashville home since 2018. Since then, he has focused on songwriting, crafting a high-quality live show, touring with the international act Blackjack Billy, and releasing his own music.
