In a time where the police have been under scrutiny, and often been attacked, one Indiana police officer found out that not everybody is against them.

Thursday night when Franklin police officers were investigating an accident, country singer Clint Black stopped by the patrol car belonging to Sgt. Scott Carter.  Carter, being a country music fan, knew who he was immediately.   Black, who was in his way to a show in Schaumburg talked with Officer Scott for about a half hour. He posed for pictures with two officers and a K-9 officer, signed copies of his latest album and went on to say how much he appreciated and respected law enforcement in communities.

Sgt. Carter told local news that the singer offered free tickets to his August 26th show at The Palladium in Carmel, IN.  Carter turned the singer down stating he didn’t want to accept any gratuities for doing a job he lives for the community.  Carter, along with a group of officers, plan on paying his own way to the show.

Black has had 22 No. 1 singles, has acted in various movies and TV shows, and is the only country singer to have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
