Cerrito Teams with CMA Music Fest to Raise Funds for Music Education
NASHVILLE, TN — International entertainer Cerrito will be part of country music’s biggest week, June 7th through June 10th in Nashville. Cerrito is scheduled to perform on the CMA Spotlight Stage in the Music City Center on Sunday, June 10, 2018 at 4pm. The singer/songwriter will follow his show with an autograph/meet and greet in the Xfinity Fan Fair X inside the Music City Center.
“Music is a universal language. I am thrilled to join the CMA in bringing opportunities to kids and opening them to a whole world of musical dreams.” shares Cerrito.
The acoustic backdrop for Cerrito’s show will include horns and highlight his multi-cultural influences that have been archived by the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum on his record label, ChecoRecords.
The fun-filled week of music, celebrity encounters and events raises money each year for music education. The CMA Foundation has invested more than $20 million dollars in music education through programs and instrument donations at area schools since the year 2006. This year, the CMA Foundation is kicking off a campaign called “It Starts with M.E.” (M.E. standing for Music Education) #itstartswithME to help communicate that music education is part of a well-rounded education – as important as math, science, history, etc. – and that research shows that youth who study music develop advanced skills and abilities.
And fans can expect new music from Cerrito. He is currently recording and songwriting for his next project.
