NASHVILLE — Today, CMT Digital launched its newest original series “CMT Campfire Sessions,” a collection of acoustic, feel-good performances that reimagines a traditional campfire sing-a-long with today’s top artists sharing songs and stories fireside, a nod to the nostalgia and intimacy of storytelling that is synonymous with country music. All episodes of the new original series will premiere on CMT’s Facebook and YouTube channels.
Fan-favorite Granger Smith kicks off the inaugural “Campfire Sessions” with a stripped-back performance of some new music alongside his best-known hits, including “Backroad Song,” “Mexico,” and “Hate You Like I Love You,” all performed fireside from his Yee Yee Farm outside of Austin, TX. Watch Granger’s full “CMT Campfire Session” HERE. Granger recently picked up a CMT Music Award for the newly added social category, “Quarantine Video Of The Year,” for “DON’T COUGH ON ME!”
In February, Jimmie Allen will appear for the show’s second installment, with additional artists including Cody Johnson, Lainey Wilson and The War and Treaty scheduled for upcoming episodes; dates and times to be announced.
