NASHVILLE – It’s all about the boys of summer on “CMT Crossroads” as two all new episodes featuring superstars of country and pop are set to premiere on back-to-back Fridays this summer. “CMT Crossroads: Nick Jonas and Thomas Rhett” will premiere Friday, June 24 at 10pm ET/PT and “CMT Crossroads: Rob Thomas and Charles Kelley” will premiere Friday, July 1 at 10 pm ET/PT.
Nick Jonas and Thomas Rhett blend their styles effortlessly in the electric hour which showcases each of their hits including Jonas’ “Chains,” “Jealous” and “Close” featuring surprise guest country songbird Danielle Bradbery, along with the new song “Chainsaw,” from Jonas’ forthcoming album, “Last Year Was Complicated”; and Rhett’s “Die a Happy Man,” “Crash and Burn,” Make Me Wanna” and “T-shirt.” Special guest John Oates joins Jonas and Rhett on a cover of the Hall & Oates classic, “Rich Girl.”
Vocal harmonies take center stage for Rob Thomas and Charles Kelley, who find common ground being the leads of musical groups (Matchbox 20 and Lady Antebellum, respectively), as well as solo artists. The magical episode features hits from Thomas, including “Lonely No More,” “This is How a Heart Breaks,” “Pieces,” “Smooth,” and the Matchbox 20 hit “3 AM”; as well “Lonely Girl,” from Kelley’s recent solo album, and the popular Lady Antebellum cuts “We Owned the Night” and “Love Don’t Live Here Anymore.”
