Country LakeShake Delivers “Chicago’s Biggest Weekend For Country Music” In Its Third Year

Nashville, TN – Declared “Chicago’s biggest weekend for country music” by Chicago Tribune, the third-annual Country LakeShake hit its stride this weekend, returning to Huntington Bank Pavilion at Northerly Island with superstars Miranda Lambert, Rascal Flatts, Thomas Rhett, Little Big Town and more. With attendance at an all-time high, the city of Chicago enjoyed the festival’s vacation-like setting, with the backdrop of Lake Michigan punctuating the world-class music and the onsite experiences available to attendees.

Country LakeShake veteran, Thomas Rhett, headlined day one of the festival, with Sounds Like Nashville declaring “things heated up as soon as Thomas Rhett hit the stage and busted out his numerous hits…The singer danced across the stage making sure to include every inch of fans packed into the festival grounds.” Before he took to the stage on Friday night, Thomas Rhett spoke with festival creator Brian O’Connell and CSN Chicago’s Kelly Crull about returning as headliner as part of LakeShake Live, a Facebook Live event taking place throughout the weekend allowing festival-goers to interact and ask questions, as well as giving fans not able to make it the opportunity to experience a taste of the festivities.

Saturday saw the festival in full swing with a stacked lineup including Miranda Lambert, Little Big Town and Dan + Shay. Fans also continued to embrace the many other events happening across the festival site, including the highly popular Blackhawks Bar, Silent Disco Line Dancing, Wine Lounge and for the first time, Grand Ole Opry Circle Throwdown Series. In addition to their sets, artists from the lineup took to the replica of the famed circle of wood from center stage at the Opry House, for a series of performances throughout the weekend. Highlights included Bailey Bryan, Craig Campbell, Michael Ray and more.

Superstars Rascal Flatts closed out the festival with a hit-heavy set on Sunday that saw them “deliver their signature vocals with an exciting and renewed sense of authority, packing an emotional punch that punctuates their signature sound.” (Chicago Sun Times)
