Country Music Stars and Fans Joined Together This Weekend
For A Wonderful Cause and Great Entertainment
NASHVILLE, TN — The generosity and kindness of country music fans and entertainers fulfills the name of the Country With Heart benefit for a fourth year with an impressive donation to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital for the total of four-thousand, three-hundred dollars. The money was raised Saturday, June 9th at the Nashville Nightlife Theater during a night filled with music, dancing, dinner and an auction.
Organizer and host, Bobby Marquez states, “So many times we are all looking for good folks or good news. We had a huge room full of hundreds of country music fans, music industry professionals, entertainers and local business owners who kept asking if there was anything they could do. I can’t explain how special this evening was. I am so proud! And I pray that money makes a big difference for some families who really need that hope right now.”
This year’s show kicked off with a true celebration of the success of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Former patient Petey Northrup was in the spotlight. The 31-year-old’s story was originally believed to be cut short by childhood leukemia, but through amazing care at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Petey is still enjoying a wonderful life today.
Donations can still be made in the name of Country With Heart through Thursday, June 14, 2018 at www.eventbrite.com. Just search for Country With Heart on the homepage.
For the fourth year, Workout Anytime 24/7 extended their healthy lifestyle mission to provide more resources to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital through this fundraising event. Along with Country With Heart founder, Bobby Marquez, money raised each June has been added to funds raised by the annual Buck Creek Trailride fall event to total nearly 100-thousand dollars in donated money each year to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. A check will be presented for the total amount at the end of September once again this year.
