This EP features the title track and upcoming single, Staring At Stars.
Hear the waves, feel the rush of the wind now
Love the taste of the salt on your skin now
Pulling my tee-shirt over my head
Watching your fingers run across my chest
Looking up at me like you wanna stop time
Midnight blue dancing in your eyes
Looking down on pure perfection
Lost in your reflection
The melodic mid-tempo track was penned by The Brethren’s Chad Chapin, Lonnie Chapin, Casey Parnell & Corey Parnell with Brian White and Barry Zito. Profiling a couple falling for each other while on a blanket exploring the nocturnal sky, “Staring at Stars” lands in the contemporary country airwaves that were paved by Keith Urban and Old Dominion.
Joining previous releases “Chevelle,” “Loving In The Moment,” and “I Ain’t Got You,” Staring At Stars features the group’s perfected, four-part, brotherly harmonies. Produced by The Brethren, this song introduces the band featuring the Chapin and Parnell brothers as romantic storytellers and multi-faceted musicians.
“A great song is one that takes you back to a time that makes you smile. Everybody who’s been in a relationship has stood outside on a summer night with the person they love, or are falling in love with, and made a wish while ‘Staring at the Stars!’ You will relive those moments while listening to this song,” shares the groups’ Grammy-winning bassist Lonnie Chapin.
