NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Sarahbeth Taite‘s music video for her latest single, “First Rodeo,” premiered exclusively with Cowgirl Magazine on Wednesday, July 17. The single’s momentum continues to build, with the writer’s “Behind The Song” video premiering exclusively with RFD-TV today, Monday, July 22.

The latest video goes behind-the-scenes with Sarahbeth and her co-writers, Scott Stepakoff (SMACKSONGS songwritefor Kelsea Ballerini, Blake Shelton, Walker Hayes) and Grant Vogel (CCMA-nominated songwriter), to discuss the inspiration and writing process for “First Rodeo.”

“This ain’t my first rodeo” is a common phrase the co-writers cleverly flip around in the song, asking the question, “what was your first rodeo, then?” “First Rodeo” transports listeners back to memories of their first love, the kind they believed would last forever. This traditional country tune captures the universal experience of putting one’s all into a relationship, only for that love to become their first heartbreak.

With a beautifully simple production, “First Rodeo” paints a vivid and nostalgic picture of being young and blindly in love. The song is produced by Nathan Chapman (3x Grammy award-winning producer for Taylor Swift) and Parker Welling (ACM Song of the Year nomination).

First Rodeo” is the third single from her recently announced EP, “The Way We Started,” set to debut on August 23. The EP includes other prior releases “Pretty Good Living” and “Diamond And A Baby.”

Sarahbeth’s unique sound and heartfelt lyrical storytelling caused her to explode onto the music scene in 2020. Her breakout single, “Long Way,” amassed over 8 million streams, soared to #1 on the all-genres iTunes chart and earned Sarahbeth her first spot on the Billboard chart. Her artistry and authentic connection to fans garnered the support of industry personality and country icon Bobby Bones, who featured her on his show, podcast and music festival. “Women of iHeartCountry” continue to support Sarahbeth, having featured her last 10 songs on Amy Brown’s show. Taite’s breakout status is further underscored by the support she received for her previous song, “Diamond And A Baby,” from People MagazineWomen of iHeartCountryCMT and ACM. Notably, the video for her recent single “Diamond and a Baby” premiered exclusively with People Magazine.
