First Round Set for February 22 at Just Love Coffee
Nashville, Tenn. – Nashville’s Next Troubadours, a new monthly round featuring young artists and hosted by Crowd Surf, is set to kick off at B on Thursday, February 22 at 5:30pm CT. The inaugural showcase is set to feature young talents Landon Wall, Josiah Siska, Taylor Gayle and Ava Paige.
With the goal in mind of representing what the future of Nashville should look like, Crowd Surf set out to create an event that would equally feature male and female artists. This is also an opportunity for talent under the age of 21 to be able to get their music out to the community in a round where age wouldn’t limit them.
“We’re absolutely stoked to be launching this. There’s so much young talent here in Nashville, but it’s hard to find places to get out and play when you’re under 21 in Nashville,” shares Crowd Surf co-founder Cassie Petrey. “This is going to provide a new way for these young writers to meet, work together, and bring up the next generation of Nashville music. We’re going to do it the right way as well, and make sure that women always have equal amount of stage time. We have to change the 90/10 ratio that is dominating country music programming, and this is a great first step.”
