The lyric video will then be released to her YouTube page on Wednesday, September 20, 2017.
Co-written and produced by Erik Halbig (Thompson Square, Chase Bryant, Ty Herndon), Karma Like Flowers may have a quirky title, but the tune is a relatable one for most women. “I love to perform this song because I get an immediate reaction from all the women in the room,” Crystal says. “I wanted to have a fun lyric video and include some of the things us females do after a breakup – like grabbing ice cream with the girls.”
Unlike the scenes portrayed in the lyric video, Crystal has not had much downtime this summer. Not only has she been traveling and performing and visiting radio stations in support of the single, but she has also become a published children’s author. Her newest project titled, Mason the Bull is the first in a series of children’s books inspired by real life events. Having always turned to writing during tough times, this country tunesmith was inspired to write this book after a tragic family event. With the recovery of her father, she wanted to take this traumatic event and turn it into something positive. She wanted to incorporate her personal struggles to inspire kids to be whatever they wanted to be in life. Crystal has been traveling to schools, libraries and book stores around the country to read the book for her young audience. While many would be overwhelmed juggling a country music single, a book and an active acting career, this energetic entertainer welcomes it all with a smile.
